DJ History

                                                              DJ History

I have lot of people asking about the History of Deejay(DJ).

                                  Early Days: 19th Century- 1940's

Back in 1857, a man named Leon Scott invented the phonoautograph the first device to record sound. He was followed shortly by Thomas Edison's phonogaphic cylinder which first allowed for playback of recorded sounds. The first audio broadcast came in 1906, and the first ever disc-jockey took his place in history in 1909. Ray Newby of California was only 16 at the time, and he played records form a small transmitter while he was a student in college. By 1910, radio broadcasting had become a normal, yet still exciting part of life.

The term disc jockey wasn't coined until the 1930's. The World's first DJ dance party was thrown by Jimmy Savile in 1943, who played jazz records for his guests. A few years later, Savile became the first man to use turntables to keep the music in continuous play. The first discoteque opened in Paris, Whiskey A GO-GO, in 1947

I hope you now know where DJ com form.

Music is a journey, inspiration and therapy, in which my soul holy finds shelter in and forms part of my life. Music gives me freedom to express myself through the world spectrums of culture, beliefs and social life at large, it is also the vehicle I’ve used to explore the world, to embrace and honour what the world has given me, the empowerment to take the music gospel to greater heights.

I started this journey in 2001 as a Radio Deejay (presenter), Advert producer and Radio Show producer. In 2005, ©BlackElements as underground and aspiring Deejay, creating a room for the souls of the dead to the dance flow, for all categories of house music (Deep house, Tribal House, Garage house. Tech House, Progressive House, Club house), Kwaito and Hip Hop, in ultimix style, playing around with acapellas, as music have no limit. I got influenced and inspired by likes of   DJ Christos, DJ Fresh, DJ Vinny Da Vinci, Oskido, DJ Iggy smallz and DJ Khabzela, who kept this legacy going throughout the entire globe and created global opportunity for aspiring and prominent artist, including myself . House production and Deejaying is my daily bread and the fire that keeps burning in my soul. The journey continued, now it’s time to reminisce into the future.  ©BlackElements TribalDeepTech Production.
